Delicious Cookies for Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 120g soft butter
  • 100ml vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of vanilla
  • 100g corn starch
  • 130g powdered sugar
  • 300g flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

Step 1: Mixing the Ingredients

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soft butter, vegetable oil, egg, salt, vanilla, corn starch, and powdered sugar.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

Step 2: Making the Dough

  1. Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring continuously until a dough forms.
  2. Once the dough comes together, divide it into two equal portions.

Step 3: Adding Cocoa Powder

  1. To one portion of the dough, add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.
  2. Mix the cocoa powder into the dough until it is evenly distributed.
  3. Wrap both portions of the dough separately in plastic wrap or a plastic bag.

Step 4: Chilling the Dough

  1. Place both portions of the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill.
  2. Chilling the dough will make it easier to work with.

Step 5: Rolling Out the Dough

  1. After chilling, remove the dough from the refrigerator.
  2. Roll out the plain dough portion into a flat layer.
  3. Use a mug or cookie cutter to cut out circle-shaped flat balls from the dough.

Step 6: Layering the Dough

  1. Take the cocoa powder-infused dough out of the refrigerator.
  2. Roll it out into a flat layer, similar in size to the plain dough layer.
  3. Carefully place the cocoa powder dough layer on top of the plain dough layer.
  4. Alternate between layers of plain dough and cocoa powder dough until all the dough is used.
  5. You should end up with a stack of dough layers.

Step 7: Freezing the Dough

  1. Wrap the stack of dough layers tightly in plastic wrap or a plastic bag.
  2. Place the wrapped dough in the freezer for 1 hour to firm up.

Step 8: Baking the Cookies

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. After the dough has chilled in the freezer, remove it and unwrap it.
  3. Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into pieces of your desired size.
  4. Place the cookie pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  5. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15-16 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  6. Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool before serving.
